ABOUT
In the autumn of 2024 Anisa and Alex began their collaboration and Lichon emerged, swiftly leading to the creation of several diverse tracks - a selection of which formed their debut EP 'It's Always About Us'.
Inspired by the symbiotic relationship that forms lichen, their music is created with midi data collected from the environment - field recordings and the biodata of plants, fungi and lichen. These soundscapes are accompanied by mostly improvised responses on violin, viola, guitar and live electronics.

Each live performance is unique and immersive, largely dependent on the activity of the particular plants, lichen and fungi that join Anisa and Alex on stage.

Lichon's sound world is a reflection upon and response to the landscapes and intricate patterns found in flora and fauna. It encourages a shift in how humans think, how we relate to nature and how we are connected to this earth, our home.
